Our Story
Founded in 1960 by Hugo Cahnman, Casso-Solar Technologies has been a leader in custom infrared heating technology for more than sixty years. What began as a small manufacturer of infrared heaters has evolved into a trusted engineering and design company that delivers complete custom heating systems for various industrial applications.
In the 1980s, leadership passed to Hugo’s nephew, Doug Canfield, who guided the company through major growth, expanding from heater manufacturing into turn-key infrared heat processing machinery. In 2007, we rebranded from Casso-Solar Corporation to Casso-Solar Technologies, emphasizing our mission to deliver custom-fit infrared heat processing solutions. Originally based in Pomona, NY, the company relocated to Nanuet, NY in 2010, shifting to an engineering and design-based model to focus on what it does best, creating high-performance, custom-built infrared heating systems, while partnering with high quality, U.S. based manufacturers for production.
In 2024, Derek Burkholder became President following the passing of Doug Canfield, continuing the company’s legacy of innovation, reliability, and American-made quality.
